Their debut self-released album "Behind Golden Frames" was released on August 26th 2006 in Norway to immediate critical acclaim. Two tracks feature in the forthcoming Norwegian film production Mars and Venus: the haunting and epic 'A Potion of Lust' and more upbeat 'Stupid Heart', reflecting both the autumnal and sunlit sides of their compositions.
The filmic nature of Eva and The Heartmaker songs were quickly recognized by Air Chrysalis who signed them for a publishing contract, pretty much immediately. After meeting up at Popkomm, Berlin in 2007, Eva and The Heartmaker Was signed to Danish label 'Strange Ears' with the single 'Stupid Heart' which was released in Denmark in February 2008.
