Independent danish label that also focuses on management and booking.
We distribute for foreign labels, do productions and events for bigger companies, labels, etc.
Strange Ears also does promotion and booking for bigger foreign tours, and new goals includes magazine, shop and a union for independent people within the musicindustry.
- We focus on the underground & upcoming scene -
Part of our beliefs, are that, regardless how big a band is, they should always remember where they´re coming from. Many bands tend to forget the small venues when they´re established, and we believe that all bands should divide their economical demands into two groups – for the small venues, and for the big venues.
- Many agencies tend to forget how hard it is for venues to stay alive.
- And many venues tend to forget that the upcoming scene deserves a chance as well.
- Many festivals tend to forget the underground, and the underground tends to forget that they have to keep their demands lov.
The Music scene is in a new, and exciting time.
CD´s doesn´t sell well anymore, and will only get worse. But with problems, comes new opportunities, and it´s up to us to seize them and think outside the box.
Thoose who don´t, will fade away. Thoose who do will grow stronger.
Piracy does not kill music – it expands it.
But we still have to find ways to give back to the musicians what they loose from it.
We believe in Music for the sake of music - not for the profits
Sincerely,
Steffen Rasmussen
